Reading Together
One of the big hits here this week has been reading Poetry For Young People- Edgar Allan Poe. We each have our own copy, and we each take turns reading 1 paragraph. The favorite poem so far, has been The Raven. When I was in school I loved reading a book with my class. Reading together has been a great activity for Jacob and Ashlynn. They are both getting something different from the activity. Jacob is enjoying and comprehending the plot of the poems. Ashlynn is getting eye tracking practice and exposure to new vocabulary. I am glad that I purchased 3 copies of the book for us to enjoy together.

How fun! My kids LOVE to read out loud! I'm going to incorporate that more often, I think. :-)

I loved reading the Raven as well. What a neat idea to get 3 copies and read together!
That is a great idea. I too loved to read as a class...I never thought of the different ages developing different skills from such a fun activity!
